Just a quick post to show an outfit I wore recently for a short lived victory over the health care system. I’ve been out of it for the last several weeks and keep putting off posting things… they are beginning to pile up again, oops! More juicy details to follow. I keep saying that but one day – I promise. I think I have more draft posts than published!

This skirt is one of my newer purchases and I absolutely love it. IGIGI recently opened up the Final Cut, which is more or less their clearance area, where stuff is marked down to a fraction of the retail price. It is definitely a great place to snag some amazing, well-made clothing for a great price! I’ve been a fan of their clothing for a few years now and own a couple of pieces. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how well things hold up over time.
Even when I hand or machine wash (on delicate) instead of taking them to the dry cleaners. Shhh.
I was a little afraid of encasing my ass in delicate lace. Let’s just say I have a tendency to snag things. The world conspires against me, I swear! But this lace fabric is actually pretty heavy, well-made and stretchy. It doesn’t seem to snag as easy. Most of my lace pieces are more of a lace mesh as opposed to embroidered lace, like this skirt.
It has taken a lot of willpower to not wear it every day!
My poor little sequin flats are getting a little tattered. I’ve been wearing them a lot because they are the most comfortable black flats I own. Actually, the only black flats I own. Who doesn’t own a pair of basic black flats? Me. Though I suppose I make up for it with others… like my boot collection.
Tomorrow I’m off to my “Crash Course” sewing class and then visiting Alexys to do some retail therapy. Hopefully the weather behaves for Five Take pictures!
