In the theme of “visiting my favorite places before the move”, I’ve been taking a tour of some of my favorite (photo) spots. Maybe where I take outfit pictures, where I go to relax, or great places for photo walks – it varies!
One of those spots is a park called Dinosaur Hill. I still remember the first time I came here in pre-school. I’m not kidding! My mother would (and does) question my memory. We made kites from paper plates and took a field trip up here to fly them. I don’t remember much beyond that…
Since moving to this city, I visit often to walk around and de-stress… but also for photo shoots – including one at dawn for a class assignment.
My brother wants to know when he’s going to get paid for this…
All I remember about that day is leaving at 4am to pick up my friend/helper who lived nearby, driving 45 minutes to pick up my brother (the model above, and kite flyer), then driving BACK to the city I started in. Only to have a bike with a flat tire (lol), being in the cold (April), rolling around in the mud (how do you think I got that shot?) and realizing that I forgot my tripod… for a sunrise shoot. Where like, time is of the essence and stuff.
Pretty awesome. I even took OOTD’s there before I started this blog:
Shirt – F21+, XL
Skirt – Old Navy, XXL
Cardigan – Old Navy, 3x
Flats – Clarks
Bag – Asos
Bracelet – F21
Not much to say about this one. Just another outfit, for another day of packing and running errands. I got fed up with everything and headed to the yarn store for some “quality” fiber time, so I threw this outfit on. I ended up buying cashmere yarn ($$$) with little hesitation, which is an indication of my stress level at the time.
Bonus is – my knitting mojo has re-appeared and I might actually have something finished soon. YAY!
I love this shirt – sequins, cutouts, embroidery – but I’m afraid to wash it.

I love the pictures! I love the hill shots and the close ups, and the one with your brother is really beautiful. I had to laugh when I saw your outfit because we tend to buy the same/similar items. I had that shirt (though I never wore it and I think I returned it or gave it to my sister). It looks great on you, and now I wish I had kept it, haha. Oh well! I hope you get to relax a little soon. Some daydreaming of NYC could help! :)
Your photos are beautiful. Visiting all of your favorite places seems like a wonderful way to spend your last few days before your move. It’s such an interesting way to show a bit of yourself to your readers too, I love it.
That outfit is amazing too. I love the color combo of your cardigan, skirt and the bright, sequin top. Also the play with textures is so fun: sequins, pleated, knit and embroidered. Another great outfit.
Oh, these photos are breathtaking! The one of your brother is amazing, you are very talented! I really love the top and I neeeed that skirt, so pretty!
Your outfit is wonderful! I wouldve never thought to pair that goregous shirt and fab skirt together. Your pictures are lush and really capture the beauty surrounding you. Awesome job!
That shirt!!! Its simply splendiferous!! WANT WANT WANT. Loving the pairing with the pleated skirt too.
